Biodiversity of AM Fungi in Coffee Cultivated on Eroded Soil

Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMFs) play an important role in soil improvement, leading to the enhanced growth and yield of host plants. The diversity, abundance, richness AMFs were evaluated eight coffee plantations (Coffea arabica L.) with different erosion degrees. results indicated that 26 morphotypes scattered across four genera recovered included five species. Funneliformis species most dominant representatives total isolates followed by Claroideoglomus, Rhizoglomus, Gigaspora, Acaulospora, Glomus, Diversispora, Septoglomus, Scutellospora. highest diversity found non-eroded agroecosystems, sites a minimum erosion, lowest values reported within highly eroded agroecosystems. These suggest affects AMF fungi, creating need carry out studies allow for implementation cultural practices where biodiversity are preserved.
